What Started It All - About BSE

Belden Speed & Engineering began as a dream of a 9 year old Dane Belden.  As the son of a gearhead, Dane grew up around cars and was always around to help his father with various projects.  They shared a passion for drag racing and General Motors muscle cars and worked on many projects ranging from family car rebuilds to a 30 Model A Rat Rod.  Things got serious when Dane replaced his first car (1968 Olds 442) with a 1970 Chevelle SS and built the motor.  Within a year his father and he began restoring a 1958 Corvette basketcase and just 2 years later Dane bought the 1959 Corvette you see below.

Fast forward 30-some years and the 1970 Chevelle SS and 1959 Corvette are the basis for the work done at Belden Speed & Engineering.  These along with a 1970 El Camino SS round out the current stable of Belden Speed & Engineering.
