G.  The Engine Build Gets Completed

The heads were treated to a cleaning and 3 angle valve job after they were checked for flatness.  Given their age a .009" resurfacing was done to get them dead flat.  Viton positive seals were used on the intakes and Viton umbrella seals for the exhaust.  The stock intake manifold was used as were the exhaust manifolds to keep the engine original.  Rounding out the build was a rebuilding of the original Quadrajet carburetor where the original heat shield was retained.

With the motor in and detailed for the most part the focus will turn to repairing the rust found in the cowl shoulder areas.
