1968-1972 GM A-Body Window Channel Trim Stud Location Diagrams

After you replace your window channels you must add back in the window trim studs.  Today most people do not weld studs back in, but instead use a special screw that is shouldered and has the appropriate dimensions to retain the window trim clips.  These screws are available at most any restoration parts website and are a good solution to getting your trim clips back min  place.  In the event that you did not take dimensions, or the studs were missing to be able to take dimensions, below are diagrams to get you set up correctly.  These are actual dimensions taken for a survivor car.
